I went to a different garden centre today and saw a tree I'd love. But it was only for display. But my mum in law nabbed a bit & put it in her bag to take cuttings from :heehee:

It's a bit wilted, but hopefully someone can tell me what the tree is. It was a small tree in the shape of a weeping willow, but all the leaves are curled. Any ideas?

Could well be a Willow. There is one which is the Willow version of the twisted Hazel.

Looks a bit like a compound leaf.
A pic of the tree would be more help.

I very much doubt it would grow from a cutting.

There is a garden round the corner from me that ha two of trees in their front garden that sound like what you've seen; weeping with curled leaves and it has yellow pea type flowers :), I'll keep 'digging' for a positive ID :)

Not sure about the curled leaves, but a weeping tree with compound leaves and yellow pea like flowers could be, Caragana arborescens Pendula.

Just googled that tree Scillonian and it looks very similar to the ones by me, but these do have the curled/twisted leaf appearance described by Randy :)
