This is getting too big (I attach a photo with Daisy our JR for size) and would like to know (A) What is it? and (B) Can I cut it back quite a bit without harming it........like now.

It has recently finished flowering (little grey/white "clusters") and I also attach a CU of the seed heads.

    Thanking you!

I think it's a Hebe and as you say, it wants to dominate the whole corner.
You could snip away underneath, taking it back to the core until the plant has shrunk back enough for you to be happy as it is.
Or, you could take some cuttings - about 3" in length, remove an 1" of stem at the base, dip in hormone rooting powder and place maybe 6 or so round the edge of a terracotta pot, water and cover with a poly bag and leave it somewhere a bit shady for a couple of months by which time the cuttings should have taken. Pot up individually and overwinter with a view to digging the monster up and replacing it with a cutting or two next year?

Yes, and thank you, she's an absolute poppet and unusual in having a brown nose and hazel eyes. :)
Also has independent ears that alternate in standing up OR both together - been like that since a puppy.
