Fresh start

I started my new job today, after nearly 2 months off.

I'm tired, but I enjoyed it. If I could be bothered, I'd be angry at my last boss right now because while I was at my last company, I was made to feel like (and actually believe) that I was old and past it and lucky to be employed at all.

At the new job today, I was treat with the utmost respect, everyone was chatty and we all had a bit of banter, I was supplied with actual working equipment without having to pester, and even the boss took her turn in the cuppa round.

Oh, and comparing the views between this job and the last. At the last one I would look out of the window and see a smelly chemical plant. At this one I see boats in the harbour. At the last one the drive in would take me past a rusty pipes and tanks leaking all sorts of filth, this one takes me through the moors and over a bridge overlooking the harbour.

 

Good news about the job clueless - sounds as if you have really enjoyed your 1st day.
What a difference it makes when you can actually say 'I enjoyed going to work' and working with friendly people makes it even better. Sounds as if you have cracked - Good luck!

Well done Clueless, that will definitely give you a lift. Last time I was on here you were pretty down, new job, new you! Hope you enjoy and can celebrate feeling more up beat. I know I changed my area and it makes such a difference when the views are inspiring too.
