Left my wellies at home today. Thought to myself, flipping `eck. Decided to call into B&Q warehouse for a cheapie pair. When I eventually found them saw the price £9.98. Thought to myself, now that`s a bargain. Looked again and saw that the price was £9.98 EACH. They are actually selling wellingtons one at a time.:hehe::gnthb::rotfl:

Well my wife accuses me of having two left feet so it would save me from buying two pairs. :lollol:

Hmm why on earth would anywhere sell one rather than a pair ? Its not like many people only have one foot is it ? :)

Most probably so people think they are cheap, load them in the trolley with everything else and then fail to notice they get charged each, rather than per pair ..... If your buying a lot of stuff, sometimes these things do slip through.

I got my wellies from B&Q a couple of years ago. Back then they were actually £9.99 for the pair.

I have a theory about why they might now be selling them individually. Surely we've all done this: while walking through some good, deep, squidgy mud, the kind that makes good squelchy sucky noises as you walk through it, one boot gets stuck fast and the foot it contains leaves it behind, so on your next step (which you must now take regardless if you don't wish to fall on your face) sees your now bootless foot go in the mud. Ooh, that lovely cold wet sensation of a muddy sock. Of course you could go back for the trapped boot, but that would mean spending more time trudging through the mud in your sock, carrying the risk of losing the other boot to the same fate. If you've made it to the nice dry grass, now you can abandon the trapped boot, which can serve as a humorous warning marker and permanent reminder of your fate, should you choose to walk there again. Then you can drive to B&Q, and wander round the shop in one welly, one muddy sock, by a replacement boot, and back to work with the minimum of fuss.

When I used to do a lot of digging in the garden in wellies I wore out one boot from using the same leg all the time to press down on the spade or fork :(. I tried to buy another wellie but they only sold them in pairs. B & Q, where were you then? :hehe:

You know all joking apart i would get on to them i think it was a stupid ,stupid mistake. I checked out the web site and it doesnt say each on there and lets be honest nearly £20 is a lot to pay for a pair of wellies,
When i had my smallholding in Eire i lived in Wellies and it didn`t matter how much or little i paid they all lasted about the 6 months mark, so quality will not matter,
