Hi, I bought some Autumn/winter lawn feed and it says on the box when to use it (autumn/winter suprisingly) but gives no indication as to how often? Im overseeding next week so was going to use it after that one the new grass had grown a bit.

I also notice that it still ha 4% N in it. Is that normal? I thought it avoided N?

4% Nitrogen is low enough, the grass still needs to grow :) what is important is to strengthen the roots - Spring feed is probably 12% or 16% Nitrogen.

I don't bother to Autumn feed mine, but back when I did I only applied the Autumn feed once.

An autumn feed is really important for the health of the grass, as Potassium is easily washed out of the soil, so it is a good idea to replenish it annually with a feed high in K. You won;t see a direct benefit from it, but you will certainly get stronger, healthier grass the following year.
Just one application is enough, and you can put it down right up until the first frosts.
