As for us ... OH is playing his war game thingie and im sat next to him but going to jump into bed shortly and watch some tv as not well. Got a infected/inflamed cyst under my arm thats the size of a tennis ball and it hurts :(

The tablets the doctors gave me have done nothing so might consider going to the hospital tomorrow to have it lanced and drained ..... am not sure I am brave enough though !

I think she's just tired. We've been away for a few days and I reckon she's had too much fresh air:)

I know, but us blokes just like a quiet life. She'll stop stropping at some point:)

That sounds rough. If it were me I'd be off to the hospital like you say. I'm sure you're brave enough. Mind, that said, I once had a cyst and was booked in to have it chopped off. I'd been given some tablets to take to stop it getting bigger while I waited for my appointment, and by the time my appointment came round, I had to cancel because the cyst had gone. The doc did say to me that sometimes they just go, and sometimes they don't, and they can't really predict either way.

Thanks all :) Well I decided to be brave yesterday and went to the hospital who said it was an infected absess and needed to be removed. Me thinking it was fluid thought it couldnt be that bad so went ahead.

Its not fluid, its flesh !!!! Which they duly went on and removed and I swear I have never been in so much pain ever in my whole life. They removed the whole tennis ball size lump and then packed the whole full of guaze and sent me home.

Last night i was crying i was in so much pain and it felt like something was just pulling and pulling at the wound so I took off all the bandage stuff and started tugging at the guaze .... which was inserted at least 4 inches into the whole .... I nearly passed out !!!!

As soon as I had done it, apart from feeling extremely dizzy and sick, it felt so much better !!

Its still very sore this morning but I did manage to sleep which is good as hadnt managed much in over a week :)

Hopefully the big hole will soon heal itself .... and then I can at least shave my armpit lol

Hi Sam, oh poor you. What an ordeal for you.
I know how much gauze gets packed into "areas" Sam as I had a lot up my nostrils after an operation once. I felt sick and ill too.

Glad to hear you are feeling more comfortable now it has been removed. :flwsml:

Well last night I spent the whole evening snuggled up in bed watching rubbish on the TV while OH played his computer game (as always lol).

Thanks everyone for your comments :) Am still in quite a bit discomfort but at least the awful pain has gone. I tried doing a little round the house yesterday but the wound started bleeding, so guess it was telling me to stop!

Going out for a nice lunch today as got to take the car for a service which is in a village in the middle of nowhere so rather than sit waiting for two hours, going to walk back down the lane and head for the village pub we spotted lol :)
