    Morning all
Todays project is planting my front area.
I have a selection of bulbs from T & M and I`m checking on depths to plant etc:
I have some bulbs marked up as "Jetfire"
The inclosed paperwork and the T & M site gives me no clues as to what they are and how they should be treated.
    Anybody know anything?
    Thankyou robert

Have a look here is this the plant you purchased? If not I would treat like any other bulb, and plant 2-3 times its depth.

    Hope this Helps!

Oh good, someone else is planting bulbs in September. I've been trying to hang fire until October, but I'm impatient and want to get them in now while the weather is still good and it's a pleasure to be out in the garden!

I've got a shedload of bulbs, so there's no point in doing them bit by bit. I only forget where I planted them and end up planting more on top. Better to do them all in one go.

Well for once I am being patient and not planting mine. Mainly because I havent finished buying them all yet. Still a few more on my list I would like to get, plus waiting for the allium ones from T & M. Have your arrived yet Aaron ??

But I too want to plant them all at the same time so I can work out whats going where, without ending up with bulbs on top of each other lol

Hi Sam, because its to do with time really, ive cleared the front garden so had the opportunity to plant them, Now the back garden is a different story, the borders are Choca block still, so it could be October before they go in..

    ahhh ok ... thanks :)

Thought it was to make the bloom first before the tulips so that you had a longer flowering period .... or something lol

Daffs are planted by the end of September to allow them to establish some roots before winter. Tulips are planted in November, if planted too early they are susceptible to viruses like Tulip Fire.

Here is a handy planting calender.
