Rhubarb Good time to move??

    I have a Rhubarb plant that must be about 6-7 years old, when is the best time to move it I have more room at the allottment I read some where that it might be best to split it??

    splitting it - use a spade but make sure you've at least one leaf bud. But I would do it after all the leaves have died back and the plant is dormant. But its years since I've done this

    Here's an excerpt from a thompson and morgan email I got the other day
    "Autumn Planting Vegetables


    Autumn is the perfect time for planting onions, shallots, rhubarb, asparagus and garlic. Where the soil is still warm, the plants will quickly establish prior to the cold winter weather."
