    sorry I know the picture is huge. It is called, I am told, precoce.

    Gorgeous, beautiful flower, isn't it?.

    I don't know anything else about it-disease resistance, habit etc

    Hi Lollypop I.m on the case at the moment all I,ve found is
    "Precoce"
    M.dp.1843; Flowers rosy Red,sometimes spotted,medium,double,very early bloom; Vilbert:)

    I would be grateful for anything you may find out about it.

    It's a picture taken last year at Mottisfont Rose Garden, but other than that I don't know a thing about it.

    Oh Woo..!! Thank you for researching my roses for me.. I have to agree with you about the 1st 2 they are my favourites too.. Hmm need to spend some time looking & thinking, will try to get out there later.. Thanks so much Woo... I do like he last one too such a deep red & the scent sounds terrific..!     Hi Lollipop I got in touch with a fellow Rose man In America ,and this is the reply I have just received.:)Although no luck in Italy or Spain and definitely not in Australia or New Zealand as I have Family and Rose lovers friends overseas:)

    Rose is great. I don't know there are so many kinds of roses.
    English roses are gorgeous, wild eric is so adorable and william morris is like a lady.
    But I wonder is there any black rose like in the fairy tale? :lollol:
