I read on another thread that Lavender is good for controlling Pond Algae the same was as Barley straw is.How do I add the lavender flower heads just tie them with string and drop it in or contain it somehow maybe in some old tights.

    You don't

Its supposed to be the stalks, not the flower. You are also only supposed to use it sparingly in a pond with a pump running 24/7

IL just stick to barley straw then. It was just that I'm due to prune my lavender hedge and I thought it may have been some use.
I have a new 2 month old wildlife pond, does anyone have any good links for wildlife ponds ?

Links for what? a wildlife pond is left to do its own thing, it has no pumps filters or UV. just needs the occasional clean out
