One bag down

Most folk put 50p in the jar for the Potatoes i'm selling on my doorstep.

I see someone decided to have a bag for nothing.

 

Always disappointing when people let you down!!

Fair enough, if someone had knocked on my door saying they were hungry & didn't have 50p, I would have given them a bag, and some Chard and a Marrow.

I've been hungry before & the local Jehovah's witnesses left me an "anonymous" food parcel, (I saw them running away) Which i'll always be eternally greatfull for.

 

When I read your first post I actually thought the same thing. I was sure you'd have just given them some if they'd knocked at the door. It's a pity they didn't as they've done themselves out of some chard and a marrow. Maybe you could sell them somewhere else so you don't get ripped off.....some people are horrible.

 

Only place i've got to sell is on the door step.

Farmer down the road used to put stuff outside to sell, till someone helped themselves to 2 dozen eggs and only left 20p

Had a forage fail today too, went to the communal fruit garden, you may have seen on another thread that I had a hand full off plums recently.

Went back for a few more but someone had stripped the lower branches, even breaking a branch to get at them. All the windfalls were trampled flat.

Some folk just don't get the idea of a communal garden

Went to pick some Water Cress on the way back, they'd just dredged the stream and destroyed the lot

 

It hasn't been your day today has it. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I'm afraid the days are fast disapearing where you could leave things on the door step...even though i was paying over the odds for milk from the milk man i still liked to get up and find the milk on the door step until that started to disappear....so now that's another sight you don't see in these parts and he's out of a job....
Some people are just rotten and spoil it for everyone else....

 

Left the Mrs on the door step for ages, but she was always still there when I opened the door again

 

mrs al is the business dev manager for the local community centre and they have a small cafe with help yourself tea, coffee, biskwits and choc bars with an honesty box to put the cash in ( everything costs 50p) its amazing how many people take the tea, coffee etc.... and dont put money in, its theft any way you look at it! disgusting!!

 

I just double checked in case they'd put the money elsewhere, nope, definitely 1 bag down on the tally.
