Just Been Allocated An Allotment

    Are these from seed spuds you've planted yourself, or from the feral potatoes you mentioned were growing on your plot?

    I traditionally plant overwintering onion sets and garlic where I've harvested potatoes as soon as the soil has settled down.

    No these were planted about the 2nd of July......just not sure the variety , but they must be quite
    common / recommended as these were the last few bags of seed spuds on sale in our
    Allotment shop on site.

    The yield was pretty good as I only brought 5 paper bags which each one had about 5 or 6
    seed spuds in them. (think I only paid about 4 quid for the 5 bags)

      I managed to get hold of two large 330L Darlek bins....the first one was free on Gumtree
      and the 2nd one I brought on Ebay for £1.04 :blue thumb:
