I just cooked, and we ate a vegy maincourse goulash made from our own onions, garlic, peppers, tomatoes and borlotti beans. The only non home-grown was the olive oil and the paprika. It tasted great and ain't it pleasing to have all your own ingredients.

The very best thing about home grown, there are none of those harsh chemicals on them.

I totally disagree......... it's the the taste.... the freshness..... the self satisfaction........ the "knowing where it comes from"....... and the pleasure of giving most of it away cos you've grown too much......... AND the lack of chemicals !:lollol:

Does anyone want some runner beans?

    .

None of us would be here if it were not for "chemicals!"

And that life giving substance, .RAIN, ,lovely soft rain, which is a mild form of sulphuric acid, now who would put that on their vegetables?

It's all a matter of degrees!
