I am helping a friend with her new garden and she says the tree in the corner of her garden is a cherry blossom but it's not looking very well. I have tried to take some photos but the light was a bit dodgy. She says it was covered in caterpillars and they were eating it all.

Anyone got any ideas what could be wrong with it and what I can do to improve it.
    Thanks

Don't worry!... It's now late in the season... it's being eaten by something, but the leaves are gouing to drop soon anyway.. if you can see what's doing the damage, and pick them off, then do it.

Keep an eye out next year and deal with it if it happens again!

    Hi,
I had the same problem and took a half eaten leaf to my local nursey.
They identified the main culprit as being caterpiller, I spray it periodically which seems to help but not eradicate .
