Thank you all for the warm welcome and the inside scoop!:pathd: I know that little White Van well! Here we call it the Yellow bus...for the "Special" people:sofa: Fortunately it hasn't found me yet...so please don't tell um you've seen me!

I'm looking forward to all that you can offer to help to get ready for next Spring and this Winter.

If I get my way I'm hoping to get a greenhouse in the Spring so any advise on any part of have and being successful at using one please send my way.
The learning never ends...well until were....let's not go there....better things to do.

I am now living in Washington State in the US. I was born in Southern Calif. so Winters is not my happiest season. It does help to grow a variety of wonderful plants though.
Thanks again for the kind welcome!

@Julielovesmud - hopefully you will find it fairly easy to use the software on this forum, it is one of the easiest I have used. However, if there is anything you are stuck with, please do not hesitate to ask, as there will always be someone on hand willing to help. Thankfully this is not one of those forums where people make fun of those who are struggling a wee bit with technology, spelling, grammar or even the basics of gardening - - we'd all much rather help each other along.

By the way, Tapatalk is very good (I recently started using it myself), but for the best view of the forum I would recommend a traditional PC/laptop/tablet/iPad - - you just get that bit more in terms of pictures etc.

Our winter is only really just beginning here (some of the trees around my way still have leaves on them) so you have my sympathy with your dislike of the season. Many of us make the time pass quicker by planning for next year, and then before we know it we are bringing seedlings on (usually in the house )

Oh, and the greenhouse thing - do it! I built mine just over a year ago, and it is one of the best things I have done.

I'm glad to know I'm not alone...we didn't have computers when I was in school, the youngest of children just wiz threw it.
My daughter bought a home in a more rural area and were remodeling, turning the 2 car garage into a living space for me. I will be taking care of the yard work and putting in a veggie garden. The yard has a slope in the back so we will have to do some terracing to use the space effectively.
I am also A potter so I will have studio space too. It has turned out well for us to share some space and have others separate.

Welcome to Gardeners Corner Jeepgranny :sign0016:

You'll find this a lot better than the Gardening Australia forums, I find those very hard to navigate :)

Thank you for your welcome, I am looking forward to learning about the different methods due to climate etc. I am sitting having my breakfast on a bright sunny morning expected temp 28deg. My vegies have been watered. I currently have brown onions just ready to pull. Silverbeet which just keeps growing, lettuce and green beans plus leeks, capsicum. and strawberries. Only grow enough for our needs, there is just the two of us.

We have lovely weather but I am envious of the beautiful gardens you are able to play in with your climate. I watched a couple of gardening shows on cable with Toby Buckland.
