I got very spoilt this year, off mrs al, I received a lovely picture, a clock, some cider, aftershave, undercrackers, chocs. Of my little boys I received a pair of gloves and a tie, my mom I got money to spend ( which I did today in the form of a cd/iPod Dock/ dab for the kitchen), off the inlaws I received a new dressing gown, wine, chocs, some chutneys and morello cherries, and of my bro a voucher to spend in the hand and flowers pub in marlow, bucks. I was spoilt rotten!

Best pressie was sis-in-law who arrived after a 9 hour drive from Somerset to spend Christmas and New Year with us.

Santa produced - Photoshop Elements 12, a nice new scarf, thermal base layer, newly published biography of Capt Scott of the Antarctic, a new hand-held radio for the 2m amateur band, small bottle of Glenlivet, and one or two more very welcome surprises.

Santa's two elves (Mrs W and her sis) produced a cracking Christmas dinner using our own sprouts, carrots, spuds, tomatos - only the piggy bit, pud and wine was shop supplied.

I got a remote-controlled helicopter :hapydancsmil: t'other half bought me one two years ago and a friend crash-landed it damaging a rotor which t'other half has not managed to repair ... therefore a new one was appropriated, albeit slightly different which I now have to learn to fly ... :help:

Headphones and a Tom Holland book (Rubicon:The Triumph and Tragedy of the Roman Republic.. my brow is now set at 'high' level) from the missus, some plentiful supply of fine Belgian and English ale from the in-laws (sisters and mother) who also kindly donated a good beer guide and a comfy t-shirt and some rather cosy slippers plus a chocolate truffle coffee and cup from my little girl.

Well, I got a lovely surprise from my lovely ladies - tickets to see The Eagles at the O2 in June, and fantastic seats to boot! I have loved The Eagles for many a year, and thought I had seen them for the last time at Twickenham a few years ago; I never thought I would get another chance.

All I need to do now, is wait until June! :dancy:
