I need to get rid of my grass for roses and veg. No way I can dig it up till July any ideas? Glyphosate? Cover it?

You'll be hard pushed to find a windless day at the moment for using glyphosate CRG! It's also the wrong time of year, for it to work the grass, like weeds has to be actively growing. There's also the risk of drift onto your plants.

I don't think covering it would work either, grass is pretty tough and would probably grow back when uncovered. Is there no one that would/could dig it up for you?

Yes, they do take time.....a lot of it! Unfortunately gardening means patience however frustrating it may be. :)

I'd cover it with black plastic, sliced into the ground round the edges, then grow stuff in pots on top for the first season. It'll kill most of the grasses off, though you might have some Couch & Dandelions to spray off when you lift it.
