      Aloha everyone,

Loli, don't know about you but I am heartedly sick of all this rain and wind and soggy ground to have to walk over.

Shiney all that sun and warmth, maybe a bit too much though.

WOO. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Penny, hope you have had no more snow fall to have to clear.

waves to Kandy, Lili et al

Have a good day all and stay safe, dry and warm. God bless.

      Aloha!:wub2:

        Good morning everyone...
        Hope everyone is on form:dbgrtmb:
Moyra...Do you know.. we haven't had that much rain up here so it's not too bad underfoot:huh:...i think we're certainly in for some over the next few days/weeks though....so it will be a case of the kitchen floor covered in dog blankets and wet dogs:rolleyespink:

It's bright and sunny so far:blue thumb: and i've been sat watching a Magpie having a heated discussion with a squirrel....the Squirrel has been having a right tantrum complete with stamping feet...i could watch them all day...but this won't get my chooks cleaned out will it:chicken:

        Waves to all...

Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

        Aloha everyone,

I feel as though I could do with going back to bed this cold has come back with a vengeance again.

Loli, you do see some lovely wildlife in your garden we only get birds by the dozen.

Shiney I am glad you brought the sun back with you at least.

        Morning WOO hope you're well.

Penny, hope you can put your snow shovel away for a while.

Have a great day all, God bless.

          Morning all,

Its a lot warmer here today, in fact its supposed to be for the next couple of days....so nice to have it warmer and the sun out!!! Sunday night is supposed to get bad again, so I'll enjoy the next couple of days.

I've been in Toronto the past couple of days, was supposed to go back down again today, but Brad is now saying Monday (weather permitting), but I do have some errands and deliveries to do though.

I also need to go pick up some paint, since we are starting the big reno soon, and painting Natalie's old room upstairs, is step one in the reno...but I'll take Brad with me for that.

Might have to make a trip down to see Kait at school tomorrow, her and Chris have been apartment hunting the past few days, and before she (me) signs a lease, I want to see it.

We had Daniel lastnight for a couple of hours again, Natalie and Dan have joined a gym, so they drop him off when they go work out...he's getting to that fun stage where he is making all kinds of noise and talks to you...too cute.

Off to throw in a load of laundry.......so enjoy your day everyone.

          Good morning everyone,

          I hope everyone is OK:dbgrtmb:....

Penny, you can see by Daniels little face how he's taking notice,he really is a lovely little fellow:wub2:

It's very quiet out there this morning, the only sound is a little Robin...don't they ever go to bed:rolleyespink:...the dogs have just been out and had a really good sniff around..more so than usual but i think that's due to it being the foxes mating season...there's a few around at the moment looking for a lady friend....one went trotting down the drive at 6pm last night as cheeky as you like....
Had a call last night from the Vet regarding the last of Theo's blood tests that had to be sent away...great news..all clear:yes:....he has a check up on Tuesday and i'm going to discuss his food ....if you remember Theo has been on lot's of medication for nearly 3 years to deal with his skin problems...since christmas with this other complaint he's off all those tablets and had a special diet....his skin is perfect and no signs of any irritation so even though over the years we've tried different diets for him they haven't worked but we may have just cracked it this time:fingers crossed:...i'm convinced the medication has caused the problems with his pancreas but that's just my thoughts...i'm relieved he's off them now and 'mended'.....:dancy:

Quick cuppa and then Hi Ho:whistle:

Have a great day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

            Morning all,

Yes, I am still about. Just been in a bit of an emotional downturn, but I am slowly turning myself around.

It's a lovely looking day, after shopping I intend to get outside to take advantage of it.:blue thumb:

I no longer look after my friend as it got all too much for me, as well as looking after my husband as well. It was a wrench, but it had to be done.

That's all about my problems, I hope you all have a good day, with some sunshine. :doggieshmooze:

                  Aloha everyone,

We're back and trying to catch up on things. Thanks for arranging this lovely sunny weather. According to my solar panels yesterday and today have been the sunniest day since we had them installed. :blue thumb:

Our computer was delivered back last night and we're working on getting up to date. The computer, and our external hard drive, have had a good clean out. The hard external drive has been reformatted (too much junk and corrupted files) and the computer has had all unused software removed and had its RAM doubled in size. The C drive is now backed up in mirror image onto the external and all the data is backed up onto the internal backup drive. This is done automatically every 24 hours. Including the cost of the RAM he only charged £80. :dbgrtmb:

I've downloaded all our photos and filed all 2,300 into folders. Now I have to go through them and delete all the rubbish - definitely more than 50% of them. Downloading and filing took three hours and, I guess, looking at them and deleting will take up to 10 hours.

I've just, quickly, grabbed a few pictures to put on here.

These two were taken from the breakfast on the roof of our hotel, at Ipanema in Rio, an hour after sunrise

                  P1190522.JPG

                  P1190524.JPG

and this was taken just before sunset as we were on our way to find a restaurant for dinner (dinner normally starts about 9 p.m.).

                  P1180160.JPG

And this is especially for Woo :)

                      Aloha everyone,

We're just about settling in now and we have an extremely frosty but bright morning.

Although we left our heating set at 60F whilst we were away (we used to turn it off until we had burst pipes and came back to a disaster!) the house felt much colder than that. The air in the house wasn't too bad but the walls felt really cold - even the internal walls. It took 36 hours for the walls to warm up and for Mrs Shiney to feel comfortable - even wrapped up warmly.

We shall go to my sister this morning to pick up our chili plants :blue thumb: and tonight we're taking our friends for an Indian (the one in Harlow :dbgrtmb:) as a thank you for doing the airport run for us (I pay him for the petrol as it's about 240 miles altogether).

Lili, I'm sorry to hear you've had to give up the caring. :grphg:

Woo, the owl was at a military base - an old fort guarding Rio harbour - and was standing in the shade underneath a cannon. It was lunchtime, extremely sunny and hot (35C). I didn't know they came out during the daytime - unless he was on duty :heehee:.

Loli, I bet the dogs love the frosty days :doggieshmooze:

I hope all of you are over your coughs and colds and are all raring to get going in your gardens.

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

Loli, The dogs seem to get a bit of early spring in their tails when it is frosty like this.
