So i got one last year.
Popped it in a bigger pot after christmas, and took it outside with the intention of keeping for next year.

I admit, i was a bad tree-keeper. The tree did get a bit dried out..
But a while back i re-located the tree to a better spot, and started to water and pop a little 'miracle grow' feed into it.

However, it's still looking a bit 'twiggy' and sparse towards the bottom of the tree.. Not much foliage bar the top of it.

Is there anything more i can do to try to get it looking a bit more.. fuller for christmas?

As you may be able to guess, trees are not something i am clued up about, and this is the first real christmas tree i have owned.

I bought a potted Christmas tree from Homebase a couple of years ago and also popped it in the ground. It didn't make it :cry3:

I am inclined to think thoSe trees are not strongly rooted enough to survive. Perhaps they are dug up bare rooted and potted loosely just before they go into the shops :dunno: Mine had dry roots on the surface which isn't a good thing. I may be wrong.
