    :) I am not particulaly interested in foriegn athletes,but this guy has made it so interesting and WHAT A TALENT.........

    Quite an amusing guy too many of these athletes take themselves to seriously,he's joking right up to the time he takes off and man can he do the buisiness.

    He is bringing a breath of fresh air to athletics. I really, really hope it`s not down to steroids.

    :wink: Now wait a minute, an inspired Jamaican is an inspiration to all us Brits, whether Welsh Scots or English of today....!!! They are still keen to go far far further than we are it seems.! It opens your eyes to see them at home.. Jamaica & the Jamaican people are very close to my heart...!!!!

    So most of the people of Jamaica still have nothing in comparissison to us as regards lifestyle & opportunities.! You might be shocked by the average Jamaican's pride, home & the difference between the poverty line there & here, yet they are a happier nation in general than us..!!! With more pride drive, enthusiasm & inspiration that takes them to places it seems us Brits are not so keen to go these days...
    Many many of Jamaica still have the pride & drive we lost 25 - 30years ago...!!!! Look at their other athletes..!!!

    I have got to know many many Jamaicans now over the years as well as ex Pat's & one thing that shines through is their honesty, hard work, drive & eagerness to learn & get on in the world from a less than equal starting point.... :(

    Now, why am I being criticised? We have seen it too many times over the years where an athlete has given people enjoyment, only for them to be found out as cheats. I`m not saying Bolt is a cheat, only that I hope he isn`t. As for him wanting to try the long jump, I really hope he will, as long as he`s doing it " clean ". If he is steroid-free he is the best thing to happen to athletics since Lyn Davies.:gnthb::D:D:D

    Must say, I never even thought about steroids until it was mentioned. I just thought he was incredibly talented. Maybe that makes me a bit naive, but I do try to see the best in everything, although sometimes life can make that difficult!

    :wink: Dia, I know people cheat, but why even suggest it before there is even a shred of eveidence.. !! The Jamaican people are a very deprived nation & try much harder than most to achieve.. They are spontaneous very poor happy hardworking & patriotic nation, which is more than can be said for allot of us..! Let us watch Usain by all means, but why mention it when there is not a shred of evidence..?????? . That is all I was meaning.. Looking to the negative point of view.. :flag:
