Best baking seed potato variety?

    Just about to buy my seed potatoes and wanted to get a few main crop for baking, but I've not grown any specifically for that before and would appreciate advice on your preferred varieties for Baking.

    Used to grow Desiree for baking which was nice.

    Sorry I've never grown Estima, probably bought it in the shops though - it is very popular.

      A few of us at the plot have bought a sack of Cara to try this year, these are supposed to be good for baking....will let you know later in the year.

      I was looking for a good Baking potato also .. One of the very old guys on our plot gave me a bag of Cara ..and said he always uses these .Will give them a go.
      I did grow some Desiree last season and got some good Bakers amongst them ..
