That`s lovely davy, I only have the "traditional" fuchsias at the moment , but I am very tempted by these, is that a current picture or one you " took previously"

Yup, happy with that :) - I do have some of those "long, tubular" ones, including these ones:

        F. magellanica gracilis - although not a very good photo, sorry

          Hi Pam
It is an old photo , but it flowers around Christmas time each year . I have had it about 10 yrs now . Only have the one plant ,and have found it very temperamental to root ..It is not hardy and I have the greenhouse around 50F in winter ..
Have other triphyllas (usually long tubes) as well

Welcome to GC Djdelmar. :) There's no reason why they shouldn't survive but as they are in pots you should wrap them in some sort of insulation, ie garden fleece to stop the roots freezing.

Bought a few more plugs today:

              Blue Mirage
              Wendy's Beauty
              Heidi Ann

I am going to stop now. Well maybe.

I have some non-hardy fuchsias left from last year that are starting to show signs of life. Glad I never chucked them now :)
My hardy ones are really taking off now so my question is, should I still cut them back or leave them be?

I've grown Lady Boothby in the past and came to the conclusion that there are better Fuchsia.

a] It's not a climber, just tall growing. You'll need to tie it in yourself and to get the best vertical growth take a fair number of the side shoots out.
b] Although hardy, it was late into growth and didn't perform overly well after the first winter.

On the plus side, the flowers are tasteful and of a fair size.................

As I recall, the fruit is one of the better tasting Fuchsia fruit too.
