    :) Hi folks

We are here in Algarve in our wet-weather season ... and I must say much needed as we can go up to six months without any rain during our summers.

I cannot obviously do any gardening during wet season and just let things get 'out of hand'. Next month I plan on cutting back the rose bushes and other shrubs but at the moment cannot do anything useful as the ground is so wet.

What are you doing with the awful British weather, if indeed you can do anything?

Not a lot in the garden per se...but all the time we have window sills, propagators and GH's we still find enough to do to keep us out of mischief:blue thumb:

Well my raised bed still has water sitting on the top of it, so not a lot going on here apart from Onions on the windowsill.

Not much! Just general tidying up after the winds, cleaning pots, sorting out the shed and a few other small jobs when it's not raining.

It is nice you guys are out there doing things as it is quite different here where you cannot be physically outside ... unless you wish to drown ... :heehee: Most people don't have GHs here .. it's way too hot in the summer months to have such. We have an outdoor living room which floods in our rains.

I just find completely different indoor things to do .. like clean out closets and cupboards and donate to charities ... three bags of clothes last week. I've also joined Pinterest and am saving various recipes and other things and trying different things.

We have just lost our links to UK TV channels BBC and ITV due to satellite changes which doesn't bother us as we don't 'follow' soaps and such like. So I have taken up new hobbies (having not done painting for two years) such as other crafts like jewelry box making and jewelry making in general. Pretty crap at it but hey ho ... it's something to keep me out of mischief till summer comes along. :heehee:

This is exactly what I need to do, but keep finding something warmer and more fun to do :-)

Quite a few of the bulbs I planted in autumn are beginning to appear now, once the garden starts greening up, I'll get my motivation back for the more routine jobs.

Wouldn't worry me if we lost all our tv channels either Vicky.
We have had strong winds and heavy showers for the last week so can't do much in the garden.:frown:

I never do much until March anyway, its usually too cold, this year its too wet.
Things are growing though, I've noticed Laburnum seeds germinating in my lawn, which is still growing and I saw a grass bank in full flower today with daisies.

I need to have a bonfire but its either too wet or too windy, or both.
