    Evening everyone.
Back in the garden after long problem with my eyes. on the right track now!
Anyway i've caught the tropical plant bug. Having recently brought 2 banana trees.
There both in the greenhousein pots growing at a rapid rate of knots.
Not planted out yet due to the beds not being ready yet (prob be next year) me inpluse buying yet again:-)
I've seen the post on canna's and they look breautiful.
I've seen some in garden centers but they are expensive
Seen some seeds on ebay are they easy to grow from seed? or is it too late now?

    Regards Sean

I would start canna off from seed in the spring. You are better with Seed in many ways due to cana virus. Unless you know what to look for then it is best to avoid buying canna tubors or plants, a massive amount of the stocks have virus - although this year there did seem to be some improvements.

Cannas are fast from seed and can make a nice sized plant in just one season.

I have started some canna from seeds a few year ago the success rate was low and the plants were not exactly come true. If you grow from seeds you probably better start in spring.

I have bought some bare rooted tubers (they are a lot cheaper than plants in garden centers) they do rather well. Maybe you could try that.
