help... i have a dilema!!!

    hi ev1 me again!! after all the help i recieved from you all, i feel a little bad for my lack of knowledge again!!!
    i have recently found out we are moveing to the countryside!! great i cant wait.....but what can i do with all my veg i am growing? is it worth trying to dig them up and pot them or just leave them and resolve to growing again next year???
    i am not really growing on a big scale but still my plants are my babies lol

    What veg are you growing? A lot of veg can be picked and eaten before it is fully mature, so maybe just use it up before you go.

    hi there, now thats not a bad idea, although my toms wont be ready in time and i have loads of those! runner beans and mini sweetcorn maybe done, but i also have pumpkin, melon garlic and onions growing!

    Green tomatoes = chutney
    Runners = just eat them young as they grow
    onions = should be a reasonable size now to eat, better small than not at all
    garlic = same as onions
    not much you can do about trailing squashes, leave them to whoever is taking over from you.
    Same with the s/corn unless you are growing in pots.
    There's always next year :)

    awesome thank you for the really helpful advice!! just one more question..... what do you do with green tomatoes and how do you make chutney? :cnfs:

    many thanks, google is my friend and thats a fact lol!!! i am going to have a look and maybe get a recipe?! has anyone ever tried it and if so what does it taste like???
