Here's an update on the Aran I'm knitting on circular needles, sorry it doesn't look much at the moment. Knitting down to where the sleeves join the body was a nightmare especially as I haven't used an American pattern before, there's also mistakes in the pattern which I've spent time trying to suss out. The stitches where the sleeves will be are currently held on threads to go back to once the body is finished. The neck will eventually have a cowl attached.

This is the cable running down the sides and this second picture is also the true colour, raspberry. :)

Sheal it's a very unique pattern - not run of the mill M & S stuff. I love that cable and the way it weaves in and out. It's shaping up very nicely,
thank you for the progress update...:dbgrtmb:

Thanks ladies. :) Another hiccup! I was decreasing earlier down to the waist and I'm three stitches short of the count..... blast! I just hope it's another pattern problem, I don't really want to undo it.

Jenny......It wasn't the pattern it was me. I'd forgotten the decrease on one of the rows way back and have spent hours today undoing and re-knitting!

Thanks Simbad. I've been getting on quite well with the needles. I must admit it's easier knitting something larger on them, more room to manoeuvre! I'd like to see the doll when you've finished it please. :)

By the time you've made 3 ( in different colours Sheal) you know the pattern off by heart,
