Things are not progressing well in back garden. The front looks lovely with daffs snowdrops and hyacinths and crocus in pots. But the back - sigh!
I'm under pressure now to get it at least safe for orit to play in as the weather is starting to warm up but between toothache and pregnancy sickness I feel like I'm losing the battle.
Wilko is def the place to go for pots big enough for roses - under £3.
And (apart from the odd pair of Secateurs / gloves / specialist spray like rose clear which I get from amazon )are the cheapest by far so far this season

Gardening is not about pressure, CG:nonofinger::heehee:, you've got to enjoy it and you, with toothache and sickness can only do so much:love30:. I'd take a step back and take a breath so that things won't seem so pressured. The garden will come along as will Spring and you will enjoy things more if you take your "foot off the pedal". Your garden looked great in all your pics and your ideas for it are just as great, as everyone will agree, the garden is there all the time and will also look after itself..........which is what you need to do!!:heehee:

I agree with Armandii. With your health issues at the moment you should be taking more care of yourself than the garden. It's only a matter of weeks now until the birth of your little one, so let the garden take care of itself for a while, nothing out there is going to suffer too much from a little neglect. Put your feet up and rest! :)

He looks like a bonny baby CRG! In a few years time you'll be able to show him his picture here in the middle of a Rose thread, I wonder what he will think? :)

Refuse to post photos coz garden is still a mess but huge progress over the last week. I have enjoyed teaching oh how to weed and mulch pots and how to sow bulbs etc. new table parasol play area with sand pit and law mower will make a heck of a difference. We will have to decide to cut the box before or after baby. Will see how it grows. Also going to have sweet peas growing everywhere as orits been "planting " them. Really must get back into routine of buying a plant a month for mums garden as it's a huge border to fill and although an excellent Gardner some stuff did not grow well from seed. We bought twenty diff packets last year. It's the only time I use crocus website to treat her.

Big progress made today. Patio completely clear
6 seater table and chairs with parasol set out.
Travel cot put out for tortoise pen (he bites lol)
                              Sand in box.
                              Toys on their way
Once we've mowed the lawn and re cut the narrow border it will just be the big border and shed to do :) Def going to top dress border with bark just as a temporary measure to keep weeds down
