      Aloha everyone,

I hope you are all bright and breezy on another day nearer spring. :)

I'm off to do battle with the quack this morning over my BP monitoring. He's bound to try and put me on drugs (just in case) and I shall refuse. I'll take my machine with me to compare my readings to his as my machine doesn't get calibrated. I think my readings are OK but he'll say they are too high.

At least he's given up trying to get me on statins. Three biochemist friends of mine (that used to design drugs) have said that my cholesterol levels are OK and that the medical profession have gone too far in trying to protect their backs! Of course, it couldn't possibly be that the drug companies have had an influence on them :nonofinger:

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

Loli, pleased to hear you're improving. :blue thumb:

Doctor said my BP readings are 'borderline' and I don't need to take the meds - those are the ones he gave me to take and I refused. My translation of that is 'a few years ago your reading would have been considered OK but isn't quite right now!'.

I took my machine with me and we took my BP on both our machines. They more or less agreed.

My first week's average readings were 142/87 (whilst I was still having the injections in my stomach every day for the first half of the week) and the second week's average was 138/82.

He said that 142 is too high, whereas (having done a lot of research) I don't agree - but he said 138 is fine and told me to take another one week of readings each year.

              Good morning everyone,

Shiney....It's a good job you're switched on :love30: or you'd have come home from the doctors with a bucket full of tablets....i'm sure there are some excellent doctors out there but IMO there are many (mine for instance) that seem to be under the impression that the solution is medication when actually an explanation would suffice.....my Mum has to have regular checks for her BP with the nurse yet every time we get there they have to be prompted to take it even though it's up on the screen in black and white the reason we are there.....i'm sure my BP is fine until i go near the surgery:gaah:....
Hope Mrs Shiney is feeling OK:dbgrtmb:....

Moyra...don't you be getting a chill when out with Amber:dbgrtmb:

              Woo....loving your pictures,they really are fabulous:love30:......

Kaz....Hope your first day back went OK:dbgrtmb:......

I'm still up and down with this blooming cold:rolleyespink:.....and i'm not a very good patient ,i want to get on with things but it keeps hanging on:gaah:.....

Take it easy everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

                Aloha everyone,

Mrs Shiney is a little bit better but still suffering quite a bit. Lack of sleep isn't helping much!

Loli, I hope you get better soon :grphg:

                            Aloha everyone,

Moyra, I'm sorry that I don't know anything about how to fix your problem! I can't imagine any way of fixing it. Are you saying that you just can't type directly into GC? Are you able to type in Word and then copy and paste it into GC?

Woo, you see the sunrise much earlier than we do! You posted that lovely photo at 7.20 so must have taken it earlier. The sun only got onto my solar panels this morning at 8.10 as it can't get over the intervening roofs until then. We get a bright sky earlier but none of it is strong enough to register, very faintly, until 7.30

Kaz, you must feel a bit tired after all that! :)

Loli, I wish you lots better :grphg: waves oily rag in your direction (but it's still in use on Mrs S.)

Have a great time on this lovely sunny day

I don't think that your pics would have bothered anyone as the cuddlies were so small but larger rodents have freaked out some people in the past. :)
