Some strange variety of cattus laxius gittius I reckon.

Great crop, I don't have a chance of any of these sorts of pics-my daughter ( ok and I) eat them as they ripen.

Thanks for the identification :thmb: :lollol:

I am now picking that amount of beans every day or two. I sell them for the charity we support and they are always ordered in advance. The problem is, keeping up with demand. :)

    Lovely looking beans Shiney.
I picked the first of my French dwarf beans today - I was late in planting them.
Very delicious they were - I could eat them as a course on their own, as the French do.
I'm looking forward to many moe.

Good for you selling them for charity.
    And lovely cat.
    Enjoy them both.

Very good shiney. Have you still got any problems with blackfly? I've stopped spraying my beans with soap solution because all this rain seems to have washed them away.

    Thanks Alice :)

John, they got a lot worse for a week or two but then the regular spraying with detergent seemed to have worked. The leaves and stems are still covered with dead blackfly. We haven't had much rain at all. Just an occasional heavy overnight downpour. I have had to use the sprinkler on the beans and courgettes. All the new growth has been free of blackfly :thumb:. Some of my later planted beans are just starting to crop so I will shortly be at full production.

Lovely crop of beans Shiney, but I wouldn't say that Oscar was showing off:D Our blackfly problem has been cured now thanks to me transporting ladybirds onto the bean leaves and by leaving the lady bird lava on the fat hen weeds that were growing, there has been more than enough Ladybirds nohing on the bugs, plus this year we have had wasps on the leaves and in the flowers, something I have never seen before:scratch::D
