      Aloha Woo and everyone,

Although it started off very drear this morning it's brightening up a bit. I hope to get out there and have a bonfire if the wind drops a bit.

We have guests for lunch but I've already done most of the cooking so can relax a bit.

I hope everyone is feeling better. :blue thumb:

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

Just had a bonfire :blue thumb: It's very windy out there so had extreme difficulty getting it alight. I did the usual, stuffed paper within the heap and then I usually twist a length of paper into a long taper with the end loosened. Then light the end and the paper burns slowly because it's twisted tightly.

When it's so windy it's difficult to keep a match alight long enough to get the paper burning. So leant right down inside a wheelie bin and lit the paper whilst holding it near the bottom of the bin out of the wind. It worked :dancy:. Once I got the fire burning the wind worked wonders on it and it was all finished in 30 minutes.

            Aloha everyone,

Found my note pad it was on my AGV search engine line I had deleted, silly moo that I am once I put that back in place all was well again.

Shiney glad you managed a bonfire. I think it may at last be drying up out there. I am looking at moving if I get a chance. The council have asked me to make a bid for a bungalow. How they expect you to do that when you can only view the place from the road. Still I'll express and interest and then hopefully get a chance to view it properly. It is only couple or three miles down the road from here so I wouldn't be moving far. We shall see.

Loli, sorry you are still not better but taking some time out may be just what you need.

Have a good day everyone. God bless. xxx

            Aloha!:wub2:

              Hi Moyra,
The council should let you go and view it. It's good to make a bid because if you refuse three times they take you off your place on the list. Once you have viewed it you will have a better idea whether it's suitable. Although, from what you've told us about the water and your current place, most places will be better than what you have.

Don't be afraid to tell them if you think things aren't right in the place. It's likely that they will say the things are down to you to change but, sometimes, it will be their responsibility. :blue thumb:

I feel so much better now thank you ....almost back to my 'normal' self.....Don't answer that Shiney:heehee:....

I was thinking of you earlier Shiney, wondering how you were getting on with the bonfire....it's been really gusty here so no chance of lighting one here.....

Loli, it was very windy but it doesn't really matter here as long as the flames aren't blowing towards my trees.

                      Morning everyone,

Its back to cold here, and we had a dusting of snow overnight. It was so nice here last week, and of course its cold again, but its also the last week of February....thank god!!!

I had a busy week last week, and this week is looking like more of the same.

                      Enjoy your day everyone.
