    Can you identify this Herbaceous Plant please?

    First impressions are of a gunnera of some description ( although as you know the standard I am a guess now learn later disclaimer is attached)

    Hi Kristen, it's a Macleaya microcarpa 'Kelway's Coral Plume' also known as plume poppy. It's one of those that put down deep tap roots and then start trying to take over the garden, but I love it all the same.

    Yeah, leaves a look a bit like a Gunnera, but I don't thing its big enough to be one of them.

    Thanks Blackthorn, I've looked up some pictures of Macleaya microcarpa "Kelway's Coral Plume" and that looks spot on

    Macleayas have a curious flower that has no petals.

    They are giving the Leylandii [Spit!] behind them a run for its money, so sounds like that's a fair contest then!
