You can start now indoors nFrost:dbgrtmb: still early for out doors just yet but if this weather keeps up we've cracked it:dbgrtmb:

    So do i:doh:.....

I've done that for my Early Nantes in containers to hopefully get a better crop....my patch is too small to have them in the ground:gaah:....really not keen at container growing but my ground is too rich for them....looking forward to the results of your Sweet candles...they have a good write up:blue thumb:

That's a bit of a dilemma ....do you go for it just incase they are delicious and do a good sized bed or air on the side of caution?....if i had your 'space' i'd go for it:thumbsup:

Did my first outdoor sowing yesterday, just a short row of radishes but it's a start.

The autumn sown Aquadulce Claudia broad beans are off to a flying start this spring, they didn't reach this size until about early April last year. :)

i was talking about chilli's earlier. i only planted 4 of them, 3 of them germinated but only 2 survived. i think this may of been my fault, as i may of been little too rough while transplanting some of the small plants to pots

Like Lolimac I pricked out our celeriac seedlings last week.
                image.jpg

Yes, extremely. I don't remember they were difficult to prick out last year, maybe because I did it when the seedling were smaller, this time it really did feel like a hard work, for these seedlings have so much roots that they were quite hard to tease apart.

MrH now gives me a weird look whenever he hears the word celeriac because I've got nearly 100 seedlings (I got a bit carried away:heehee:, but the seeds are tiny so it's difficult to control). He reckons that even after sharing half of the produce with the owner of our veggie plot, we'd still have to eat about 2 celeriac a week from November to April and, judging from last year's crop (some of which are still in the ground), each of them will be enough to feed us for 2 dinners. That's a lot of celeriac to get through.....:snork:.

@nFrost ....I would maybe carefully thin them out a bit and keep them fairly cool,we haven't done bad so far for real low night time temperatures so you could chance them outside in a warm spot but just keep your eye on the temperatures and bring them in on a night should it turn bad:blue thumb:
