Cannot find the thread @silu started, I told her of these available from Aldi.[IMG]
Went to get one yesterday, 5 pound off voucher not untol next week:doh:, when I got it home I noticed the tap was loose, it was easily tightened up, then while I was reaching in for the stand I noticed there was no connection inside, examined the tap again and removed it, joy of joys, the washer is replaceable from the outside, what a boon that is. :love30:

@pamsdish How did you get a voucher? I have never seen a voucher for Aldi anywhere.
I usually like their gardening stuff. For the price it is often very good value.

Sorry Lea got my weeks mixed up, it`s next Thursdays Daily Mirror, always last Thursday of the month, if you are lucky they may still have some then, but not a bad price 28-99 with stand, and down pipe connector,

I don`t either, but as Aldi is my nearest supermarket, and I do shop there I get 2 papers, as the voucher is valid Thurs-Thurs, costs me 1-20 for the 2 and I can usually manage to spend both, even if it`s only on chicken for the dog.

Seems like only a short time ago that they £5 off £30 spend (-17%). I'd have trouble finding £40's worth of stuff to buy there to now get 12.5% off.

If having trouble spending £40, their 6 packs of Elsanta strawberries for £2.99 are back in store. I got a crop of strawberries + found them prolific for producing runners and got about 11 extra plants from each one, so 72 plants+ strawberries for each £2.99.

Got my 3 water butts yesterday. Thanks for the heads up Pam. What a job getting the 3 in my car but after much rearranging, swearing, especially as it was pouring with rain and blowing a gale plus jumping up and down on the hatchback I succeeded. Ok there was a slight dent in 1 of the butts (managed to bash it out when I got home) but was quite feat to get them to fit. I drew a crowd of Aldi employees who I think were taking bets as to whether I was going to succeed or otherwise! If I lived closer I would have taken 2 trips but my nearest Aldi is about 30 mins drive away. "Interesting" drive home, could obviously see nothing out the back window (not a problem as have driven lorries) but my seat was so far forward my knees were up by my chin and I'm sure there was a greasy mark on my windscreen from where my nose was touching it!!!!! Anyway the butts seem good quality, made by Ward and called Strata. At the Aldi price of £28.99 can't be bad. Much appreciated Pam.

Laughing at that image,:roflol: did you notice the tap, with the washer so easy to replace, quite honestly if I could replace the washer on my old ones so easily might not have bought another as I have 2.

I've had many a drive home from Wilkos with loads like that, but also struggling to reach the gearstick with dozens of bundles of reduced bamboo canes getting in the way.

Resurrecting this thread as the water butts are available again from Thursday 19th March, still £28-99, the £5 voucher will be in the 26th March edition, if you can hold your nerve they will still have in stock.
