    1. How did you come to join Gardeners Corner?

Needing some advice about the care of oak trees-just googled it and GC was about 3rd or 4th down, after reading some of the posts-lots of which being humourous and friendly, and spotting that there was a rose expert on here I joined.

    2. Name the countries or counties you have lived in …

Lancashire, all my life apart from when I was at Uni in Nottinghamshire.

    3. Describe the type of work you do.

I own houses which I rent out to tenants, but I am primarily a Mum-the pay is rubbish though.

    4. Describe how you first got into gardening …

My Mum worked so I was looked after through the week by my grandparents, my Nanna grew her own veggies and my Grandad knew all the fairy stories which he told me as we went on walks through parks and woodland-and I can't not mention Ents out of Lord of the Rings....I became a child obsessed with trees and fairy rings and mushrooms.

    5. What would be your dream type of garden and do you think you will ever be able to achieve it?

My dream garden would be a remote woodland clearing, next to meadow full of wildflowers. And no cars, planes or other people-bliss.

    6. Have you any particular favourites in celebrity gardeners, flowers, shrubs and/or vegetables?

Geoff Hamilton surpasses all others for me and peonies are the nearest thing to heaven on this earth

    7. Have you ever entered any of your plants into shows?

No, I would be far too embarrassed out there amongst genuine experts. I just ain't good enough.

    8. If you had a garden created in your memory, what plants do you think would most adequately sum up you and your life?

I would like a garden that hasn't been "created" as such-at least not by man, they are mere imitations of the real thing.

Have you ever considered a themed garden. If so, what was the theme?

I haven't ever really considered a theme, I like a garden that looks like it has always been there, I don't like the ones with sharp edges and modern tiling and the like, it's a personal thing of course, but they make me feel uncomfortable.

Just the thought of someone else making decisisons and changing things in my garden brings me out in cold sweats lol. I wouldn't have them in.

      never say never guys.

And I don't use solar lighting, just in case you wanted to know.

I have been erm preoccupied with my life going a bit pear shaped, but I have been popping in from time to time. I still love the pics of peoples gardens.

And John, I missed you too

I only said your name once!

There's two of the little ones now, and I can't keep up with them, like little tasmanian devils.
