    1. How did you come to join Gardeners Corner?
I have been on car forums for about 7 years and when I started taking an interest in gardening last year I googled gardening forums and up popped GC and here I've been since.

    2. Name the countries or counties you have lived in â?¦
Dorset. Boring I know. I lived in Weymouth for 28 years and then moved to Poole.

    3. Describe the type of work you do.
I started off wanting to be an Optometrist (optician) but missed the grades for Uni by 2 marks and so I had to rethink. I couldn't see me doing anything else so I thought that I would have to go and work my way up from the bottom and maybe get another A level whist I was doing that. I started as a receptionist in a opticians and was put straight on the next training course to train up as a dispensing optician. From here I could go to Uni to train further but whilst working I realised that being in a room one to one with people wasn't me and I decided that beig in the firing line and with the public was more me so I decided to stay as a dispensing optician. I passed all my exams and became a manager in Poole.
I was then struck down with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome :dh: and became unable to work. That's where I am now stuck at home with my dogs poor nd wanting to work.

    4. Describe how you first got into gardening â?¦
After leaving work I started realising my surroundings and as I had to slow down I couldn't do my hobbies of cars and grass track racing. I then decided that I wanted to revamp the garden because I was bored and the more I got into the more addicted I've become. Now I love to potter in my garden and have helped friends with their gardens when I can.

    5. What would be your dream type of garden and do you think you will ever be able to achieve it?
I would like a farm so I get a huge garden so I can have lots of animals and a donkey and still plant things as well and have a big veggie garden. I don't have a specific type of garden really, just what I like at the time.

    6. Have you any particular favourites in celebrity gardeners, flowers, shrubs and/or vegetables?
I really love Alice Fowler and Alan Titchmarsh. I'm not a great one for flowers and prefer nice foliage and my veggies but this is changing over time and flowers are entering my grden. I love the look of Lilies and roses.

    7. Have you ever entered any of your plants into shows?
No don't think I could be bothered with all that.

    8. If you had a garden created in your memory, what plants do you think would most adequately sum up you and your life?
    Anything black and purple :)

If there was one plant you particularly despised, what would it be and why?

If you had to leave your home and could only take 1 plant from your garden, what would it be?
