    Hello,
My name is Bob. I'm in London i have a 60' x 20' wide lawn and borders either side.
Lawn needs attention and I'm going to give it a go then progress to planting shrubs and flowers etc.
Newbie to gardening so i'm going to review existing posts and ask a few questions.

2 years ago i did the lawn from scratch i.e. got it back to soil and raked it and levelled it the best I could then put down grass seed. It was ok ad lawn looked great but now is distressed. Got busy with a demanding job at work and young kids, so got too tired to maintain it. I did not do any further research and wish i did about how to care for a lawn e.g . aerate, feed and weed etc. Anyway I now want to give it another go. btw: i get the sun on the lawn in the afternoons - not sure what that means in terms of what side it's facing :-)

    Bob.

Hi Bob, welcome to Gardeners Corner.

I reckon most of us have been there and some of us are still there, but it amazing how working in the garden can de-stress you and actually achieving some success can make you feel better!!

Getting Sun in the afternoon is fine and means your garden generally faces West, good for sitting out in the Evening:snork:

That's what we're here for and the Gang will only be too pleased to help.

      Welcome aboard @lawncareBob :sign0016:

You'll get plenty of advice and help here (and probably seeds/cuttings too!) - its a gem of a forum and very friendly indeed. Just remember, the only silly question is the one you decide not to ask...........
