I have got same problem with ebay seller gardeningrussell . I bought 4 bare root roses with decent prices last autumn as he got more than 100000 feedback . None of the roses came true .
I complained ebay about it but nothing I can do as I am not under buyer protection any more.
All he send me was cheap hybrid tea roses ..I am very upset .
Other ebay seller was selling named rose cheaply . So I took the gamble and bought 4 one cane wonder bare root ..
But fragrant cloud turn out fragrant cloud
Peace become '' Leander '' DA rose
Pink peace become '' teasing georgia'' DA rose
Iceberg become '' winchester catherdral '' DA rose
      I am happy......
I bought nearly dead bare root waltz time rose from b&m store for 1.50£ It got 2 tiny buds now .. May be waltz time .. May be not
5 bare root from pound land .. Purple climder .. White climber.. Pink climber and yellow bush rose .. All become .. Super star rose aka topicana ..
My rose garden is a mess .. :-))
I got another mix up from homebase , b&q and wilkason . I am tired of typing :-D

Good afternoon as far as I know most of the retailers above get their Roses from euro countries when you purchase not so expensive Roses ,you are taking a gamble,a calculated risk if you like,,I have been in contact with Wilkinsons, they buy from Holland as do most of the others,
Without being discourteous and not wanting to cause any offence,so I will apologise in advance before I say "You only get what you pay for:old:":sofa::phew:

I remember googling wilkason roses and found your thread on searches.
Do you mind telling me what your white swan rose turn out to be? :-)

This is the email from Wilkinsons

            Dear Woo

Thank you for your email and your enquiry about the Ruby Hotel rose. I have spoken to the suppliers regarding this and they advise that the rose is in fact a Floribunda and the name Ruby Hotel is simply what we choose to call it to distinguish it within our range and from other retailers.

This is the email I received from Chris at Spalding Bulbs:smile:

I can confirm that all of our roses are grown in the Netherlands. If I can be of any further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me.
            Kind regards,
            Chris Judkins

I'm sure these companies selling cheap roses simply buy up unlabeled stock & guess at the name.
Always get mine from specialist rose growers.

Good evening Jassi my friend since I mentioned to Wilkinsons about "trade descriptions act" they no long stock Roses in my local store, which is a shame as its not everyone as fortunate as us who can afford to pay £10-£20 for a Rose, perhaps I shouldn't have said anything:sofa::smile:

                  Update...

After E-mailing Spalding bulb company regarding the mix up they promptly replied and asked for a description of the Roses that should have been Waltz Time,I sent a photo of them and they have responded promptly yet again apologising for the mistake and are sending replacements in October .Their customer service team have been very polite and helpful so here's hoping for a better outcome:dbgrtmb:

The Rachel Louise Moran Rose does look very much like mine, the 'strong healthy upright growth' fits but it lacks any scent:dunno:
