Thanks for that Woo! Am not very knowledgable when it comes to roses. Have never really had any luck with them in the past but Asda had these minature ones 2 plants for £5 so I thought I would have another go and ended up with 5 plants. I have them all outside on the patio in pots and they all are super healthy looking. Previously when I have tried to grow them they died off because of powdery mildew, which I knew nothing about at the time. I have been keeping a close eye on these and spraying them when I notice any and so far so good. I have 2 deep red ones a yellow, pink and a sort of peach colored one. If the weather decides to cooperate sometime I will try and get some decent pics of them up.

The weather at the moment looks like it is likely to destroy this years Geoff Hamilton rose blooms-which is new to my garden, it is about to open and if this constant drizzle doesn't lay off I will be most upset, I have been looking forward to them all this time.

Woo-what is it about the weather that would cause the OP rose to flower like way?

Hi Lollipop . I do hope that your Geoff Hamilton Is OK.:) Is it possible just to place some Bags over the Blooms to keep them dry :)

To be totally honest, all the powers to be in the Rose world,
Say "Its the weather"and they say its a common occurrence with some roses.Personally I have never seen it before,my friend at Beales says it could have been frost that caused this Bloom Mutation,:)
IMHO I think It it the warm and wet weather that forces the bloom into unusual rapid growth but these are only Oppinions,:dh:In the old days:old:whenever I asked a Rose question and the Head Gardener did,nt know the answer He was Famous at saying "Its the weather!
and that was that:hehe: But you know me I will find out why this happens and seek a satisfactory explanation :)
