Tomatoes

    How are your Tomatoes doing mine are slow going red have cut some folage away to get some sun on them maybe next week there will be some ready.

    Golfer, it`s not sunlight which ripens tomatoes, it`s warmth. Have a bit of patience.:gnthb:

    They look pretty good plants golfer, they won't be much longer before they start to ripen.

    In my greenhouse I've been getting a few ripening for a couple of weeks now and just noticed my outdoor ones have started to turn red, I grew a really early variety this year called New Girl, they have been very tasty:

    Worries me when folk cut off so much leaf ... its the leaves that produce the energy for the plant. Toms will ripen without leaves, or light, but I think the natural way is best ...

    I have been doing a little de leafing on my plants. But only near the bottom up to the first truss.

    omg they grow that big ?!?!?!

    Can i plant them directly into the ground, cause my greenhouse is tiny and could probs only hold about 2 that size lol.
