Very new to gardening and have built and planted some raised borders and would like some feedback. Will be attempting to plant 2 larger borders with tropical / jungle plants in a windy, coastal area and would appreciate any ideas or advice. Has anybody got any recommendations on evergreen plants that would be suitabe as I would like interest all year. Aso any tips on how to take cuttings ie really like Elephant's ears is it possible to split these plants?

Wow, that looks great! We've planted our front garden as a jungle a couple of years ago - I'll try and find some photos to show you some ideas. Favs of mine are:
Foxglove tree - has giant leaves in it's first couple of years
Gunnera - massive leaves have some taler than me!
Bamboos and ferns are great too
Excellent 1st attempt - well done! :thumb:

Hi Sage and Onion very nice clean job well done.

I'm pretty sure you will get more help if you ask for advice in the Tropical Gardening section as thats where the people in the know hang out.

    Good luck and happy gardening.Hel.xxx.
