Oh wow Rosa! You are going to so enjoy it - the atmosphere on our allotment is absolutely wonderful. Hoping that the allotment you get has been worked this year at least - no doubt it will have been a bit neglected, but if worked recently will be alot easier to deal with. We too have a small 'patio' area on ours - not large but large enough for a concrete table (won't blow away) and somewhere for the kids to sit and put an umbrella in for some shade on a sunny day - great for sitting and having a bite while working hard.
After seeing what you can accomplish with a balcony - can't wait to see what you can do with an allotment!

Rosa you dark horse I didn't think you would even think about getting an allotment!

My goodness sweetie you are sure going to enjoy it maybe not the hard work load to start off with but the whole being outdoors bit is indeed wonderful.

One of the plus's other than you having more space to grow more of your lovely flowers and some veg of course is that you will be able to have a barbecue without setting your plants alight! Good times.:thumb::hehe:

I'm looking forward in seeing pictures of your wilderness and remember if Bob and I can do it I'm sure anyone can too. You go girl!:thmb::wink: Hel.xxx.

arghhh thanks helen, was quite by accident to got my allotment, just got talking to our friend and he said he has some space so i was quick in by getting it, will be nice when i get it all sorted will take some time mind getting rid of all them weeds and digging it over, then laying the grass area, will spend lots of nice days up there, going to have a barbeque, hehe remember when mine blew up with flames on the balcony i can laugh about that now but at the time i was teriffied, will be lovely to have some lovely flowers in the sitting area

How exciting for you Rosa - an allotment. It's great that you're allowed to grow flowers there as I know some allotments don't allow it. I grow in my own garden and have a section for a kitchen garden - but I grow flowers in there too. It helps with the pollinators and makes the place look nice.
I look forward to hearing how you get on - and seeing the pics.
