Last July I took over half of next doors plot as the Lady there couldn't manage to keep on top of it... this is what it looked like then

And this was yesterday evening... 10 months later[IMG]

Although some may say that a 'lawn' is out of place on an allotment, it gives my son somewhere to play when I drag him up there ;)

Yes, I thought so too.... until today when I saw that I had numerous pumpkins, squashes and marrows to plant and nowhere for them to go.... Son, maybe about to lose his 'lawn':noidea:

Sorry @Jungle Jane missed your question earlier, the tree is a cheapy pear tree I picked up from lidl last year, can't remember the variety exactly - something Comice I think.

@Jungle Jane - I looked it up and its a Doyenne du Comice pear. Seems like I might have stumbled across a nice variety after reading about it too :hapfeet:

Well its been a long time since updating this post..... the news is that I was gifted a 6x6 greenhouse last week and have put it up over the last day or two near the polytunnel :snork:

Looks like it will make the perfect chili house @Webmaster :yay: then I can use the polytunnel just for my tomatoes/cucumbers/melons without it getting too overcrowded

Also the 'mini vineyard' is coming on.... One vine in and another will be planted at a later date when I decide what variety to get. I am hoping the paving stones will radiate some of the days heat back overnight.

Lots of things seem to be earlier this year, I am digging main crop potatoes already

Well done on getting a 6x6 greenhouse. I'm finding it to be a right task at the moment to get one. They're always 8x6 when I look.

@nFrost I was told at the time it was an 8x6.... and I know you should never knock a gift horse and all that but I was a bit disappointed to find out it was 'only' 6x6.... now its up I am more than happy and very pleased... its only cost me a new pack of nuts and bolts and 5 new panes of glass - result!
