At close of business today, I was informed:-

    Exchange ... tomorrow. :yikes:

Completion: next week!!! :thud: :thud: :thud:

The pets (chooks, woof and meow) and myself, will form the advance party. :paladin:
Followed by the menfolk a couple of weeks later.

So, once completion happens, (and we get all the fencing secured) I will be off the forum for a bit and a while until the move is complete and all the bits and bobs are done (like getting the phone/broadband transferred!).

Don't know whether I'm on my head or my hands at the moment ... either way is up though :heehee:

Isn't it amazing just how rich and vibrant the colours of the garden and it's bounty look when the horizon suddenly falls into view?

                          Aww, thank you friends :grphg:

It was well worth posting about, just for the post by @Madahhlia (who clearly has never played The Sims :roflol: :mute:  ;) ) :loll:

@Sheal  Packing? :noidea: I'm supposed to *do* that? Oh no, dah'ling - I was taught "never keep a dog and bark yourself" :nonofinger: *I* am moving in first (just to acclimatise the animals you see  ) = I won't be here to *do* the packing! :heehee: That's between the menfolk and removal men to sort out. :pathd:
To be honest, much has been done over the WEEKS of waiting (did I mention: we've been waiting a loooooooong time for this result? :thud: ) So packing won't take too, too long - and I'll employ the "timer" psychology: whistle stop tours of all rooms/cupboards/drawers etc., ;) Far too easy to become sentimental over things - even though you may not have seen/used/dusted them for more than a couple of years! No, this will be right up my street in terms of being ruthless ;)
(Except for my garden plants ... those are harder to leave behind  )

@JWK - approximately half hour, or so, SE of where I am now - but, a lovely (and very active!) village community. Hoping to be involved in some of the community aspects - just not quite sure which and how often, but, time will tell :)

The only task earmarked for the (comparatively teeny!) garden is that of fencing - the rest will have to wait until I've followed the sage advice of waiting one year/taking fortnightly photo's/blah-blah-blah. The plants I'm taking with me will stay in pots until I know my head from my heels with the garden.

There is a reasonable amount of work to be done to make the house a home - but, I also know the moment we get our furniture in there, it will already have that essence of home. But, now I'm also going to have to squeeze in time for my craft side to make it the home I've always dreamed of (well, if I ever get the time!):- rag rugs, quilts, tapestries/cross stitched items; dried flowers/fresh flowers in vases. It's an Edwardian building and I want to have that as a background "theme" but with a modern feel to the arts and crafts movement. Oh look at me (!) :heehee: ... transferring my dreams and long term ideals into writing :roflol:

:nonofinger: (I have swatches and know how to use them!) :nonofinger:

yes, "M" - that excitement every time you transfer your thoughts from the mundane to "THAT SPECIAL PLACE". Your heartbeat quickens and I never wanted to go to sleep and miss out on that planning, dreaming and wondering IF time,
take some moments, now and then, to take a deep breath or two though,
