Hi from Northern Ireland

Hi everyone, so glad I stumbled across this site! I'm Sarah, 22 almost 23 from Northern Ireland I'm currently studying english literature at university. I've always loved nature & became interested in gardening a few years ago when my parents kindly leant me some land to start my own vegetable garden. I've been a vegetarian for about three years now & vegetables are a very important part of my diet so I wanted to grow my own organically, this year my dad built a greenhouse using an old glass porch from a house he was working on for a friend, it worked fantastically and I'm growing lots of tomatoes, I also have a few cucumber and bell pepper plants along with hanging baskets of strawberries. In the vegetable garden itself I have lettuce, courgettes, sweetcorn, brussell sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, spinach, onions, garlic, beetroot, potatoes & parsley. I'm hoping the majority will work out, however, I am a beginner & although I really love gardening I still have a very limited amount of knowledge, I'm hoping this site will help fill in the blanks.
My mum is planning on developing her front garden in the coming years & it's very much a clean slate with very little aside from two flower beds & a few willow trees 'salix integra' which I bought mainly because I love the shape, they remind be of fireworks. So I'm hoping to get some advice on shrubs & flowers.
Aside from gardening I love music (going to gigs, singing & songwriting) yoga, photography, writing, animals (we have ducks, hens and three gorgeous dogs) I also love cooking, kite-boarding & travelling. That's my rather long introduction done, it's great to be here! :yho:
