Please reply , if only a simple 'yes' or 'no'.

I have read that its a good idea to fill up a bucket of shower water whilst waiting for the water to heat up. This bucket can then be used to water your plants etc, once it has cooled (if warm).
A good idea I reckon. I am always up for saving water, despite still not having a water butt
    One day :)

Cannot use my shower water, I use a salt system to make the water soft.
Have read that it cannot be used.:dunno:

Hi NG yes that is quite right as long as you don't have a salt water softening system.. Some of us have bought these for that purpose.. http://www.joeycan.com.au
We got them from Ebay but I think they all sold.. You may find one somewhere else though otherwise I still have one unused I could mail it to you for the price of the shipping..

Or use one of these solar shower bags to take showers in your garden and save on fuel costs.

My shower is pretty quick to warm up, but the kitchen sink takes 7 litres to warm up so I keep a watering can by the back door.

Sorry guys and gals, I was in the shower with my bucket :blue thumb:
Thanks for the offer @Marley Farley , but the bucket has been fine :) I have the shower on a concentrated, fairly narrow jet, which I prefer.
Best to remove it from the bath though, to stop soap from getting into it, so I laid it on a towel.
Thinking about it though, it could be useful for the kitchen drainer :)
I will drop you an email :blue thumb:
