Woo I have had this Tom West in a pot on the patio for about 5 years - I never protect it overwinter and it always looks good.

        Hi Woo

One I grew years ago "Dr Foster" its been going since 1899 , its great in a tub and very hardy and in a bad winter the top may die back but will re-sprout from the base.

I class it as the old fashioned type, not fussy or to blouse

As far as hardy Fuchsia go, F.magellanica Riccartonii is hard to beat. Perfect graceful flowers in my opinion......................

F.magelanica David produces lots of smaller classic flowers..................

Finally, F.magelanica Hawkshead is another good doer......................

Good evening all my friends and thank you for all your help and advice which is very much appreciated:smile: I went down to B and Q's this morning to get some timber and I thought while I am here I will wander round and have a cursory look at the plants, and low and behold there were two Hawksheads(recommended by Longk) there quite a good size to,so I purchased them for £5 each,I am still going to Wateringbury to get some more and I am going to get a book on Fuchsias ,and I have made a list of all your suggestiions:ThankYou:
