Hosta

I have the hosta 'Great Expectaions' in a large pot. I have had it about 2 years, it was bought as a healthy full grown plant . Last year it looked really good--this year though ,half the leaves are completely plain green, no colour definition at all. Does anyone know what has gone wrong?

 

I have a few hostas but not this one im afraid. Can I just ask though where it is positioned ?

I know I have read certain ones do better in shade - ie the blue ones and deeper blue when in the shade. ..... it could possibly be something to do with that maybe ?

Have you maybe moved the position of the pot since last year ?

Sams right some Hostas do better in part shade.

 

Thank you for the replies re my hosta. It is in the same place it sat last year. I shall attempt to take a photo of it to show you. It has about equal hours of sun/shade per day more or less.

 

Here is a beauty, have two of them, pop so nice in the shade.
