It is scary, but in reality, I wonder how it compares in terms of risk and threat to the necrotising fasciitis outbreaks that happened, right here in the UK, back in the 1990s.

I don't say that to diminish the risk in any way, my point is that we've always lived with threats and risks, and the latest one, had it not been for the media coverage, would be no different.

Personally, in terms of risks to us in Britain, I'm a lot more concerned about the governments of here and the US poking Russia with a stick. Russia regularly tests our boundaries, claiming to have drifted of course, or that they are sheltering from a storm (with all the modern navigational equipment of the 21st century), and that was while we were supposed to be technically friends, before we started poking them with a stick because of the actions of a few Ukrainian terrorists that aren't even Russian.

So yes, the current ebola outbreak is a worry, but mostly only for those in the regions affected. In the UK when we've had outbreaks of something very nasty, like MRSA or necrotising fasciitis, the relevent medical people seem to have done a pretty good job of containing the problem, at least as much as they practically can do.

I walk away from my shopping at the supermarket checkout when the SA licks their fingers and opens a carrier bag to put my shopping in, then goes on to handle other stuff, and just leave everything at the till, complain, and go and do it all over again.

It disgusts me to see people coughing and spluttering into their hands, then go and feel every baguette to check out which is the softest. And some people let their kids run around rubbing their hands on just about everything on the shelves as if it's some sort of game.

We always keep hand sanitiser in the car to use before eating our sandwiches on days out.

"Public Health Wales (PHW) said the individual does not have Ebola symptoms but they are voluntarily staying away from work and limiting contact with others."

Im not worried at all but did a bit of research on it anyway just to be informed

Not sure i would know if i did contract it as i live with most of the symptoms everyday. My normal is constant headache, joint and muscle pain, stomach pain, weakness and random episodes of unexplained diarrhoea anyway

And i never know when i have a fever as that makes me feel well weirdly enough last time i had a dangerously high fever due to a kidney infection that i didnt know i had had for months i felt the best i had felt in 3 years. The critical care team at the hospital kept having to tell me i was really ill while i kept telling them i feel amazing lol

Once the vomiting and internal bleeding started tho think i may have worked it out

Lack of education and mistrust of governments has a lot to answer for :(
