Now the spuds have been dug up

    What can i plant / sow in the vacant ground to get a quick crop this year ?

    oktarine; radish is the quickest crop. Don't forget salad leaves like Rocket & Baby spinach both very fast and Lettuce which is a bit slower.

    I'm no expert but I have read somewhere you can plant peas until mid July for an autumn crop.

    We're just coming into the chinese vegetable season.

    We popped into Victoriana Nurseries, and purely by chance they were throwing away some courgette / squash plants.

    All now planted up at the plot.

    Let's see how we get on!

    thats a lucky find oktarine, its an ideal time to get them going now weatherwise.

    All plants are growing strongly after just one week in the ground!

    Coincidentally that is what I planted in after some of my spuds-and they are also doing very well. Fingers crossed by both of us then lol.
