    I really like this.

Are they bamboo / willow screening ?

Do they help against wind and rain ?

    Regards.

hi blind , really dont know what they are probably willow screening, they are normally for borders in your garden but i hung them upside down and hammered them above the balcony, i bought them a few years ago at wikinsons and to my knowledge they still have them, dont hold all the wind and rain but make the balcony look nice and pretty private and great for hanging mobiles etc on them and once your climbers grow up you can train them across these.

Sounds good - would love to have climbers going horizontally.

I'm currently using a 3D modelling program for the design of my balcony. Be great to see what it looks like from all perspectives. As you can tell I've only just started. Everything shall be exact to the mm.

    You need Bird Spikes: http://www.pigeonoff.co.uk/

You should get your management/maintenance people to fit them to the whole block. We had bigger problems with seagulls than pigeons, but it worked for them both.

PS: I'm not advocating that website or suggesting you do it yourself - I just googled Bird Spikes, we got our flat's management company to fit them to our block, I don't know who actually supplied them.
